In order to provide for the pastoral care of the people of God, Archbishop Aymond has decided to assign Fr. Raphael as the parochial vicar of St. Louis King of France in Metairie, La.  as of July 1st of this year.

We will not be receiving another parochial vicar in this cycle of moves. Fr. Daniel and the parish leadership are currently assessing our needs and the available options in order to continue to provide for the pastoral care of our parishioners here at St. Maria Goretti. More information will be provided in the coming months.

Also, as we grow closer to Fr. Raphael’s departure, we will announce information about a celebratory sendoff in his honor. We are sure, that like us, many of you will want to thank Fr. Raphael for his loving care and presence over the course of the last three years.
